Hello fellow makeup lover! I’m Lauren and I’ve been a professional makeup artist for over 10 years now. Nothing lights me up more than making someone’s day by doing their makeup, helping them learn how to do their own makeup, or providing them with awesome products!
When I first started in makeup, I had no idea what I was doing and had no one around me that knew either. But like any good come up story, I set out to teach myself how to successfully apply makeup…kinda.
After learning how to do makeup (the right way) in cosmetology school, I set out to find my own way. After building my portfolio, networking tons, and dabbling in editorial and film work, I found my calling in the bridal world.
Something I quickly learned was when bridesmaids get their makeup professionally done, they want a solid lip color that’s going to last, with the option to reapply throughout the day.
*Queue the light bulb moment*
That’s when the very first inkling of EMERGE was born. I was used to selling other brands that would be purchased wholesale and sold at retail price, so you would make a profit. It just made sense. But I always knew I would want to create something bigger – something that had more meaning. Something that wasn’t just lining the pockets of another millionaire.
Along came EMERGE Cosmetics. I carefully curated my first launch, which included 8 lipsticks and 8 lipglosses. There were enough shades to have choice without being overwhelmed. These were solid products that last on your lips and work for any occasion, especially weddings.
Then a global pandemic hit. My products were ready to rock but the timing just wasn’t right. So with a little patience and a lot of faith, I launched for the first time in August of 2020 and it was a huge success!
Fast forward to the beginning of 2021 and I just knew I wanted to start the journey of growing EMERGE Cosmetics to be bigger than my wildest dreams. So here we are! I just know 15 year old me would be in awe of how far we’ve come.
